Master's thesis deals with the development of business activities in the retail sale of goods. The first part of thesis summarizes the theoretical knowledges, terms and tools related to this issue. The second part of the master's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the current condition of retail market and to a concept of strategy for business development. Above all, improving competitiveness and consolidate its position as the market using modern information technology.

The thesis may be used as a valuable basis for developing a business plan founding or development of the company. According to the information processed in the theoretical part will be an analysis, whose outputs reveal the direction of future strategies and are the basis for the development of a differentiation strategy of small company, including the evaluation of potential risks and opportunities for future development.

Contemporary Health and Safety at Work Problems and their Influence on the Functioning of an Organization

This diploma thesis elaborated on the subject „Contemporary Health and Safety at Work Problems and their Influence on the Functioning of an Organization“ focuses on the description of contemporary state of Health and safety at work problems in work activities, where the source of risk is represented by chemical substances, from the point of view of a company. The thesis sets out a view of legislative definition for the mentioned topic and also the possible application of safety at work management programs. This part also includes a summary description of risk analysis methods. In the practical part of the thesis, there is an organizational directive for a fictive company engaged in chemical production made. This directive will identify possible occupational risks resulting from the manufacturing process, and it will also evaluate the amount of risk for particular work activities in conjunction with hazard factors. The next part of the thesis contains a proposal of measures for risk reduction, based upon the previously mentioned evaluation. In the final part of the thesis, the author contemplates the possibilities of health and safety at work system improvement.

The aim of this thesis is the business plan for the establishment of riding stable. The stable will be located in the village Vesce near the town Moravské Budějovice and among the services that will be offered include stabling, training horses and riders and equestrian club. Part of the business plan is a thorough analysis of the business environment. There are also dealt with the essential requirements and procedure for the establishment of a riding stable. The business plan is also prepared personnel, marketing and financial plan. The business risks are related, because the work includes risk assessment company. Business plan will serve to decide whether to start a business or not.

The objective of the thesis was to identify and evaluate possible risks connected to the storage of handling units, which are part of the working environment in the brewery. The evaluation of the risk analysis has been created on the basis of FMEA and FTA methods. To minimize the risks, the measures were subsequently proposed to reduce potential risks when working in the warehouse which led to accident reduction. Then these measures were financially evaluated and assessed for their cost-effectiveness.

The outcome is whole process for business opening, including marketing strategy, financial strategy and evaluation of business success assumption.
